Gaia Siravo è assegnista di ricerca presso l’Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia, nella sezione di Roma2, Geomagnetismo, Aeronomia e Geofisica Ambientale, dove svolge attività di ricerca nell’ambito dell’unità funzionale di paleomagnetismo.
Attualmente è impegnata nel progetto dipartimentale AMUSED che si propone come obiettivo la ricostruzione delle variazioni climatiche degli ultimi 280 mila anni attraverso lo studio di archivi sedimentari di origine marina e continentale.
I suoi principali campi di ricerca riguardano anche il paleomagnetismo e la termocronologia applicati alla geodinamica e tettonica per investigare i processi di deformazione crostale e ricostruire le diverse fasi orogenetiche delle catene montuose.
